insufficient drinking hours in DC for the inauguration!

okay, that’s not quite what’s been going on around here, but the dc city council did just pass emergency legislation extending alcohol-serving hours until 5 a.m. for bars, nightclubs and restaurants january 17 thru 20. heaven forfend inauguration revelers might have to get a sober groove on!

i’d link to the actual legislation, but the dc site’s search system is a bear. it’s far easier to find legislation on thomas, and that’s for the whole damn congress.
