a matter of perspective

family man 3-point churchevery now and again, i think about drawing comics. invariably, it brings up issues of perspective (visual), as i tend to lean toward the odd “camera” angles when i think about storytelling via images. in college, i would often doodle two-point perspective lines and floating platforms, but i never tried to draw anything intricate or animate.

it had been awhile since i’d thought about drawing perspective, and then dylan meconis threw this gorgeous example of 3-point perspective up on family man. gorgeous, and intimidating.

(clicking on the image will take you to the larger version at family man. it’s well worth it.)
