let the push polls begin!

last night, i got an automated phone call from the family foundation of virginia. it was an automated public opinion poll, which i didn’t know existed.

their questions were lovely.

“do you agree that anti-pornography filters should be installed on all computers in virginia public libraries?”
“do you agree that unborn fetuses should not be used for stem cell research?”
“do you agree that marriage should be defined as a union between one man and one woman?”
“right now, if you die in virginia, what you leave to family and friends is taxed. do you support the permanent repeal of the death tax?” (paraphrased)
“do you agree that women should be allowed to authorize anesthesia for the fetus for abortions performed in the second or third trimester?” (boy, talk about left field…)

oy.

One Response a “let the push polls begin!”

  1. hikaru Says:

    No. No. No. No. No.

    Random factoid: did you know that the percentage of ethnic minorities relative to Caucasians is rising in Every Single State Except Virginia?

    See? Who says inbreeding is all bad…

  2. Jacob T. Levy Says:

    Isn’t “unborn fetus” both redundant and off-message? Methinks “unborn baby” is the lifers’ talking point. Fetuses become “unborn babies,” embryos and zygotes “fetuses” or “early-stage unborn babies,” etc.
