my spam filter did it
maybe this will be the pebble that starts the avalanche towards meaningful prohibition of spam.
i ask you: if the big ISPs can work with the chinese government to block access from within china to blacklisted sites, how difficult would it be for them to get rid of spam?

There is an interesting connundrum at work here. So much of the current infrastructure is required because of the amount of spam that’s sent. What happens wen it’s gone? Prices plummet because there is a surplus of bandwidth/resources. How much do you think they *REALLY* want to reduce spam?

What do you mean by “meaningful” prohibition of spam? Do you think there is legal recourse against offshore spammers?
Perhaps this lawyer needs to get a non-publically published email account for this kind of communication.
